Endorsements

From elders, ministers, professors, and former students across the brotherhood.

"You have such a clear and precise understanding of the Greek language… I commend you for bringing the meaning of the words to life in the context that is so profound, productive, and meaningful to all who read the narrative… Keep writing, my brother. You are a scholar in the truest sense of the word, and we all will be blessed by your wisdom and writing."

Dr. Billy Curl, Elder

"Communicating the good news of Christ is a vital task, and we who preach and teach must do our jobs with excellence. That's why I'm glad my friend John Edmerson wrote this book… Dr. Edmerson's insightful word studies, practical outlines, and memorable phrases will help you serve hungry listeners fresh bread week after week. If you are determined to teach 'sound doctrine,' you will find this book anchored firmly in biblical truth."

Integrity in scholarship

Transparency & Integrity in Language Work

Dr. John W. Edmerson approaches biblical Hebrew and Greek as a lifelong preacher and disciplined student of Scripture, not as a formally credentialed linguist. This work was strengthened by human collaborators with original-language proficiency and by digital study tools such as Logos, Accordance, and STEP Bible — used for access, comparison, and cross-checking, not as independent lexical authorities.

Primary reference traditions include BDAG; Kittel's TDNT; Colin Brown's NIDNTT; A. T. Robertson's grammatical work; and, for Hebrew background, BDB, TDOT, NIDOTTE, and HALOT. Scripture references should be read in their full literary and canonical context.

The goal is not to replace trained scholars or comprehensive lexicons, but to offer careful, transparent, pastorally useful word studies that encourage deeper study and faithful practice.
